Louder than a Bomb Team Finals (3/18)
50 E Congress Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60605
“Louder than a Bomb” is the world’s largest youth slam poetry competition, sponsored throughout the Chicago region each spring by UCSC nonprofit partner Young Chicago Authors. The competition happens tournament-style over several weeks, culminating in an epic showdown between the finalist teams at a major Chicago venue. This year’s team finals will take place on Saturday, March 18 at the beautiful Auditorium Theatre in downtown Chicago. As in previous years, Chicago Studies is able to provide a limited number of tickets to members of the UChicago community (students, faculty, staff) and to high-school-aged students participating in our partnering youth programs in Woodlawn and Washington Park.
Students, faculty, staff, and friends of UChicago community members should use the following registration form to request tickets (1 per person, please).
Local community-based organizations interested in reserving blocks of tickets for the LTAB team finals (up to 10 youth tickets per group; more may be available by special arrangement) should email UCSC Associate Director Chris Skrable to reserve their tickets. Note that group sales for this event sell out very rapidly. Organizations wishing to guarantee ticket availability for their group should contact Chicago Studies as soon as possible.
