City of Neighborhoods, City in a Garden, the Windy City (politics and weather), Hog Butcher of the World, the City that Works – Chicago is a city rich in history, politics, parks and green space, museums and cultural organizations, neighborhoods of migrants from around the world.
So go downtown, to Museum Campus, go to Lincoln Park and Lakeview, but also try to get off the beaten path to experience:

  • South Chicago, the oldest Latino community in Chicago
  • Multi-ethnic communities in Uptown, Albany Park, Rogers Park
  • Jibaritos (sandwiches with fried plantains for bread) in Humboldt Park
  • Soul food at Daley’s on 63rd or Army and Lou’s on 75th
  • Spring Flower Show at the Garfield Park Conservatory
  • CTA – the best way to get around town
