Student journalists from the University of Chicago are working throughout the Chicago community to capture the historic events and multi-dimensional conversations surrounding the 2012 NATO Summit, which takes place Sunday, May 20, 2012 and Monday, May 21, 2012.

This is the first time that the NATO Summit has been held in the U.S. outside of Washington, D.C. The event provides unique opportunities for the city and the University of Chicago community.

The students involved in this Civic Journalist project will cover the days leading up to, during and following the NATO Summit. From the protester marches in downtown Chicago to attendee profiles and community perspectives, these students will report the sights and sounds of these memorable days and reflect on their experiences.  Their stories, photos, videos, and essays will be posted on the Blog that Works throughout the week.
