NOTE: The DATE of this event has been changed to early April to allow DFSS time to analyze the data from the 2018 PIT Count.
Join DFSS' Adriana D'Amore Camarda, coordinator of the annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count of Homeless Persons, for a conversation about the preliminary findings from the 2018 PIT Count, the state of homelessness in Chicago, and the City's strategies for dealing with the populations experiencing homelessness here. The coordinators of the PIT Count at the three sites supported by UChicago (Featherfist, Olive Branch Mission, and Thresholds Englewood) will also be invited to attend.
Participation in the Homeless Count 2018 is not required for attendance at this free event, but your RSVP is strongly encouraged (below). The breakfast conversation, hosted by Chicago Studies, will take place on the morning of Friday, April 13 -- 9:30-11 AM (Spring quarter week 3). The breakfast's location will be determined based on reservations.
Breakfast (pancakes, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, juice, and coffee) from Hyde Park's own Salonica restaurant will be served.
