Chicago Studies @ UChicago · Episode 2: Space for Whom? Negotiating Displacement and Development
This episode features an interview with Valeria Alejandra Stutz ('18) who graduated with a major in Geographical Studies, a minor in Romance Languages and Literatures, and a Certificate in Chicago Studies. Valeria was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to the States at the age of six. After graduation, Valeria worked at the Art Institute of Chicago in the Department of Learning and Public Engagement. She is now a Program Coordinator at the Posse Foundation, a college-access scholarship and youth leadership program. Valeria's thesis uses discourse analysis to better understand the controversy surrounding the Obama Presidential Center and the South Side Community Benefits Agreement Coalition.
