We've chosen 30 different books about Chicago, from a wide range of authors and genres, each coming out of the experience of a particular neighborhood or community in the city. For each text, we'll tell you a bit about the book and its author; connect it to a specific place in the city; and then -- for those interested in exploring that neighborhood themselves -- make recommendations for things to see, do, and eat while you're there!
