Established in 2012 by the Gonzalez family in Logan Square, owner Cesar Gonzalez wanted to share his mother’s homemade cooking with the rest of Chicago. A Chicago native, Gonzalez grew up eating authentic Mexican cuisine, given that his mother was from Guadalajara. With ingredients like guajillo peppers, tomatillos, and lots of roasted jalepeños, Gonzalez knew his mother’s cooking was something that needed a platform. Thus, L’Patron was born. With a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, open patios, and a BYOB policy, this restaurant provides the perfect atmosphere and fresh food while remaining accessible to all.
